At Anugraha Mandhir, we offer a warm, welcoming and caring pre-school environment where children are secure and happy and so develop and learn.

We help all children at the pre-school achieve the five important outcomes of staying safe, being healthy, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and developing skills. We work in partnership with parents, share information, offer support to learning in the home, encourage parental involvement and foster the home/school partnership. We value the individuality of each child and we endeavour to provide the best learning opportunities to suit a child’s individual needs.

A Typical Session

When the children arrive they are encouraged to …
Children initiate activities both indoors and outdoors and are encouraged by the adults who observe, interact and extend each child’s play as appropriate.
The usual adult/child ratio is 1 to 15.

Snack Time

The children are given healthy snack and drink, organic and home made. The children are encouraged to tidy up with adult support.

Circle Time / Small Group Time

The children then have ‘circle time’ where they sing songs, have discussions or there are adult led activities. It is at this point that the children also have the opportunity to develop their language skills and confidence further by speaking in a familiar group such as ‘show and tell,’ talking about an item brought in from home or an event which has personal significance.
